to delivery.

Every project runs through the same five-stage process. What varies is the content, not the approach. Here is what to expect from start to finish.

1 business day to receive the template

Brief

A project starts with a brief. Once you submit your package via the package builder and complete payment, I send you a brief template within one business day. The template is specific to the service you ordered: a ghostwriting brief is different from a newsletter brief, which is different from a white paper brief. The brief asks for what matters: the topic, the intended audience, the argument, the tone, any reference materials, and the specific outcome the piece needs to achieve.

Included in the project timeline

Research

Once the brief is returned, I begin with research. For ghostwriting, this typically means reading through any existing materials you have provided: previous writing, presentation notes, interview transcripts. For SEO content, it means reviewing the top-ranking results and understanding what the gap is. For white papers and reports, it means synthesising the secondary research you have provided. Research is not invoiced separately; it is part of the project.

Timeline confirmed at project start

Writing

The writing stage is where most of the time goes. I work from the brief and the research, and I write the piece from scratch. I do not use AI writing tools to generate copy. The output is original writing calibrated to the format, the audience, and the specific goals of the piece. I will communicate clearly if a brief is too vague to proceed and request clarification before writing, rather than produce something that misses the brief.

2 business days per revision round

Revision

Most services include one structured revision round. The revision process is specific and structured, not open-ended. I ask for revision notes as a consolidated document rather than rolling comments. Revisions should address things that do not meet the brief: tone misalignment, factual inaccuracies, structure that does not work for the intended platform. Revisions for changed briefs are treated as new scope and quoted separately.

Digital delivery within agreed timeline

Delivery

Final delivery is digital, in the format agreed in the brief. Typically Google Docs, but other formats are available on request. I archive project files for six months after delivery in case of questions. After delivery, the work is yours to use as agreed. Retainer arrangements for ongoing work are available for newsletter writing, LinkedIn content, and SEO content programmes.
